Alpine Step Stool

Alpine Step Stool

Concept

This stepstool reflects my love of mountains and hiking. The scene is a stylized depiction of a waterfall high in the mountains, alpine meadow wetlands, and more waterfalls exiting the valley, but it is inspired by a very specific place. There is a valley high on the Paradise River above Paradise in Mt. Rainier National Park. As you hike up the Skyline Trail counterclockwise, you pass below the Sluiskin Falls, hike up around them, and enter the valley. The trail crosses Paradise River in the alpine meadow just below Paradise Falls, before heading further up the mountain.

Step Stool in Use

My grandson likes to use his step stool every day, multiple times, to do the things that require a new vantage point.
