Dining Table

The Dining Table

Concept

This dining table with an epoxy inlay of the Columbia River and tributaries around Portland Oregon is what I imagined in 2017, one year after I retired from my career in high tech. My wife and I were looking for a new dining room table for our newly remodeled kitchen/dining room area, and nothing we could find pleased our desire for a stunning piece. So I decided to make one.

The idea came from the old Concourse C of the Portland International Airport (known to us locals as PDX), where the entire Columbia River was inlaid in the floor along the length of the concourse. Now that the airport is being remodeled (late 2021), I’ll have to check what happened to my inspiration!

Extending The Table

The dining table can be extended by adding standalone side table with matching design. When not in use as the main table extension, these smaller tables can be used as a buffet table, kitchen island table, entryway table, or any other purpose in your home.
