This stunning step stool will let you (and your grandchildren) reach places while delighting your senses and your imagination. I was inspired by the images of alpine meadows, and designed the stool to harmonize the form and the inlaid epoxy design. It is just the right size to stay within easy reach in the kitchen where it acts as a conversation piece and, well, a step stool to reach high into the cabinets. Yet, it is sturdy and light enough for the grandchildren to haul to the bathroom to wash their hands before and after dinner, to the windows to gain a new vantage point, or to the light switches to be self-sufficient.
I make these step stools based on demand. When you buy one and I don't have any on hand, I will schedule producing it, and keep you informed about my schedule. Because of the process complexity, it takes a minimum of 8 days (for wood selection, blank preparation, epoxy cure time, final shaping, three coats of urethane, and additional urethane cure time) to make one of these.
I have made these from red oak, hickory, and flat sawn fir. If you have a particular wood species in mind, let's start a conversation.
Dimensions
- The handle is 33" tall
